iDTRONIC has long been a contributor in RFID technology and its related applications. The latest from the maker is their best effort at the concept, and it is a mobile, rugged and high-performance RFID terminal dubbed the UHF Gun. Designed to improve upon the long range reading for tags and labels, the UHF Gun is all dust and water resistant, with a capability to read from a distance of up to 2 meters.
The entire make of the UHF Gun is to provide high-performance and easy usage handling which is well supported by the devices’ make of a pistol grip. Provided with a docking station for charging a 4400 mAh battery that powers the device, the portable RFID reader features a 3.5” sunlight readable LCD with LED backlight touch-screen providing perfect clarity along with USB, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi interfaces.
The performance gains impetus with the UHF Gun’s 1.3 megapixel fixed focus camera and flash, and GPS receiver. With vehicle mount applications, the device runs on the Windows Mobile 6.0 operating system and has 128MB SD RAM and 256MB flash memory.
